The United States women’s team in soccer is one of the most popular teams in international women’s soccer. They've won four Women's World Cups, four Olympic golds and nine CONCACAF Gold Cups. Morgan, Lloyd and Alyssa Thompson are just a few of the most prominent players on the roster.
Morgan
Alex Morgan was injured and has been ruled out from the friendlies against England/Spain. The USWNT's 24-player roster for the two upcoming international games has been released by coach Vlatko Andonovski. Matches are scheduled for October 7th in London and October 14th in Pamplona (Spanish). Both teams qualify to play in the 2023 World Cup Australia.
Carli Lloyd
Carli Lloyd is a top goal scorer in US women's soccer history. She is the USWNT's third-highest-paid player with 314 caps. Her career is not without controversy, having been marred by her split with longtime trainer James Galanis and a major injury. She is also one of the most highly-paid players in the women's sport.

Alyssa Thompson
Alyssa Thompson is one of the most promising young American players. She has the technical skills and pace to defeat defenders. Tracey Kevins was the coach for the US women's U-20 national team. Kevins remembers the 13-year-old Thompson when she was scouting a club in Southern California. She encountered a forward who was "brave", "resilient" and "brave" in that game. Thompson is now part of the US national women's soccer team.
Tobin Heath
Tobin Heath is a forward recently selected for the US women’s soccer team roster. She is a star player who played for both the North Carolina Tar Heels team and the United States national team. United States Soccer Federation called Heath "perhaps America's most talented soccer player". US Soccer named her Athlete-of-the Year in 2016.
Hope Solo
Hope Solo has been controversial in the women's football world. She left behind a complex legacy. Solo is one of the most accomplished goalkeepers, having made 202 appearances on the U.S. soccer team, and holding a record for keeping 152 clean sheets. Tobin Naeher
The United States women's soccer team is in the final stages of their World Cup qualification campaign. Tobin Naeher was an unexpected selection but has proven to be a valuable player on the roster. She was a part of every minute of their game, and she made four saves in France's 2-1 win. Naeher also stopped Steph Haughton's attempted penalty kick save in semis.

Tiffany McLeod
A recent controversy in the US women's soccer team's match against Canada has the Canadian players accusing referee Christiana Pedersen of bias. Pedersen issued a penalty for the United States to hold the ball in their penalty area in the 80thminute. Pedersen (a former World Cup referee) was not immediately available for comment.
Megan Rapinoe
Megan Rapinoe has been an unwavering presence for the United States Women's National Team for over a decade. The forward is a force on and off-the field.
