Spain showed signs that it was starting to recover from a bad first half against Sweden. It also displayed a more physical style towards Sweden. The US's lack of finishing was noted, but Jenni Hermoso's laser-perfect shot leveled the score in the ninth minute. The physicality leveled off in the second half, with Spain failing to convert several penalties and yellow cards. Megan Rapinoe used the opportunity to flag Spain for a soft foul in the 76th minute. The US's physical fitness showed in the last 15 minutes.

La Roja's performance against America

La Roja's performance against America was eye-opening. The U.S. WNT never conceded in eight consecutive competitive games and outscored their opponent 44-0. Despite the United States' excellent goal-scoring record the Spaniards seem stronger. They are a dangerous side that can exert pressure on the inexperienced U.S. goalkeeper. La Roja is frustrated that Megan Rapinoe scored their last two goals.

They formed them against South Africa

Spain began their match against South Africa with a 4-3-3 formation. Spain's wide attackers occupied the half-spaces and created space for their fullbacks. South Africa had little chance to counterattack as the midfield was compact. With the exception of some good efforts by Amanda Mthandi (and Kgatlana), the attacking midfielders from Spain were responsible for all the goals.

Their away kit against South Africa

Red change jerseys against Argentina were last worn by the Springboks in 2017. They also wore one of the red change jerseys against Argentina in 2017. Asics promoted the red away jersey, which featured the Springboks as well as the Blitzboks in all colours of the South African flag. They also wore green, black, and white in the Sevens series.

They did a great job against Sweden

Sweden beat Germany by 2-1 in quarter-finals at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. Sweden has been placed in the final. The final will take place at Wembley against either France oder Germany. The Swedish team used their athleticism to overrun Germany's backline, and their game-winning goal in the 48th minute sealed victory for the hosts. Sweden won the 1984 European Championships on penalties. They hope to repeat this feat at Wembley.
