In addition, the ShopRite LPGA and CP Women's Open will return to their usual summer dates. After a two years hiatus, the CP Women's Open is back.

Annika Sorenstam's retirement

Annika Sorenstam, a professional golfer from Sweden, announced her retirement via the LPGA schedule. The Swedish-born professional golfer is retiring from the LPGA schedule after seven seasons. She has been a significant force in women’s sport golf for almost two decades. Annika broke the 60-hole barrier in 2001 with a 59-hole round at the Standard Register Ping tournament. She was invited to participate in the Colonial tournament of the PGA Tour. She was the first woman to participate in a PGA Tour tournament since 1945. She also won seven U.S. Women's Open tournaments as well as the Vare Trophy.

Annika Sorenstam's competition schedule

After a seven-year hiatus, the world's best female golfer has returned to competitive golf. Annika Sorenstam returned to the LPGA Tour last summer and finished 74th at Sybase Classic. Michelle Wie West's retirement

Although Michelle Wie West's announcement of her retirement from the LPGA schedule was shocking to many, it was made for good reasons. The 'Babe,' who set her own course and left a lasting impact on the game, was an inspiration. Wie West was a prodigy, an artist's genius, and a formidable force on the course. She had all the characteristics that make a great player. From her towering physical presence to her daring play against male players, she was both inspirational and controversial.

ShopRite LPGA to return

The ShopRite LPGA Classic will return to New Jersey this summer. Fans from the northeast are encouraged to attend the tournament. Since 1992, the event has generated over $19million in economic activity in the region and donated $40 million to various charities. Wakefern Food Corp. is the retail chain's merchandising- and logistics arm. The tournament raises money for them.

Kingsmill not on 2022 schedule

The Kingsmill Resort will not be included on the 2022 LPGA Tour schedule. LPGA events have been held at Kingsmill's James River Golf Course since 2003. The event was originally scheduled for 2021, but was canceled after Pure Silk withdrew from the deal at the end of the year. It is uncertain what the future holds at the James River course. For now, Kingsmill is in the market for a new title sponsor.
