Hope Solo made some recent news. In addition to pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated she was also charged as a child abuser and driving under the effects. She has since been dismissed from the Women's National Team. This is not the first time that Hope has been involved in newsworthy scandals. In 2016, she was arrested in Walmart's parking lot for Dwi (child abuse) and Dwi (disorder of official nature). Check out Hope's latest arrest below.

Hope Solo pleads guilty to driving while intoxicated

Hope Solo, the American soccer star, has pleaded guilty driving under the influence. Forsyth County's judge sentenced Hope Solo to suspended sentences, active sentences of 30 days, and substance abuse assessments. The judge gave Solo credit for time she spent in a rehab facility. The punishment includes a fine of $2,500 and a requirement to complete a substance abuse assessment.

She was arrested in a Walmart parking lot

Hope Solo has been in the news for several reasons following her arrest in the Walmart parking lot in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Mother of two was also arrested for driving under the Influence and resisting arrest. Additionally to these charges she was also charged misdemeanor with child abuse. Hope Solo was observed by a witness lying in bed while she was driving. Police pulled Solo over. Solo and her children were in the backseat.


She was charged with child abuse misdemeanor

Hope Solo, former goalkeeper for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI), resisting police arrest and misdemeanor abuse of children. Further investigation revealed that Solo was also charged for misdemeanor abuse of children. Solo is accused of involvement in domestic violence. Solo was also charged with misdemeanor child abuse.

She was removed from Women's National Team 2016

Hope Solo, a former U.S. Women's National Team participant, was removed from the team for 30 consecutive days after being charged with domestic violence. It was due to an altercation between her half-sister, and her 17-year old nephew. In February, she will be eligible to play again for the USWNT. This suspension follows reports that Solo was a drinker and intoxicated while driving in a U.S. soccer van.

She's had several runs-ins with the law enforcement

Hope Solo, a former soccer player, has had several run-ins against law enforcement. She was arrested in 2014 for assault and misdemeanors. Although she pleaded not guilty, the charges were eventually dismissed due to procedural violations. Kirkland dropped domestic abuse charges against Solo earlier in the year. Meanwhile, Solo denied all accusations.
