Carlton Woods hosts lpga’s major
The Chevron Championship is the LPGA's new major title. It will be held at the Carlton Woods Golf Course. The tournament will take place at The Club At Carlton Woods Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. It's part of a five-year agreement which will also see the tournament televised live on NBC Sports.

Carlton Woods has a strong junior golf programme

This invitation-only event also raises funds to support grassroots junior golf organizations. Louise Suggs is the founder of the LPGA. It's a tour for female golfers that competes at major championships. Suggs was assisted by her two partners in establishing the organization and organizing tournaments. They were also involved in the promotion of teaching clinics.
Suggs took part in a 72 hole exhibition tournament in West Palm Beach Florida in the early 1960s. Suggs played against other LPGA and PGA professionals in this tournament.
