Biney
Maame Biney, an American short track speedskater, won the bronze medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in the Women's Short Track competition. Schmitt
Allison Schmitt, one the most decorated female athletes in America, spoke out about her struggle with depression. She was unable to compete in the 2012 Olympic Games and she struggled with depression after that. She even fell into a deep depression. She had a difficult time competing at the 2016 Olympic trials. She was successful in returning to the pool and became a US Olympic Swimming Champion.
Vollmer
Dana Whitney Vollmer has been a five time Olympic gold medalist. She was also the former world record holder in swimming. In the 2004 Summer Olympics she won the bronze medal and set a world record. She also won the Olympic bronze medal and the bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Formerly a college swimmer, she trained hard for years to be a world class competitor. Joyner-Kersee
Jacqueline Joyner Kersee (USA) is a former track and field athlete. She won four Olympic gold medals, three gold, two bronze, and two silver. She is a legend in the long jump, and the heptathlon. She won the 1984 Olympic long jump title. Joyner Kersee won the 1996 silver medal in long jump.
Evans
Aja L. Evan, bobsledder and Olympic medalist for Team USA is a brakeman. She was born in Chicago and was an All-American shotputter and track & field City Champion. At the University of Illinois, Evans won a shot put title and was an All-American in track and field. Her Olympic performance came after she joined the bobsled team in 2012.
Voisin
Maggie Voisin from the United States is a female Olympic athlete. After suffering a fractured leg, she missed 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. She was unable to compete in the 2018 Winter Olympics after she sustained a left ACL tear. Voisin has been out of competition for eight year due to her injury.
Retton
In 2004, Retton was a member of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, an organization created by the U.S. government to increase physical activity and encourage Americans of all ages to participate in sports. This council is part of United States Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Public Health and Science. Retton assisted in dropping the bill's sponsor, even though it was not made into law.
