The United States women’s national soccer team is the most dominant force in international women’s soccer. The team has won four Women's World Cup titles, four Olympic gold medals, and nine CONCACAF Gold Cups. Discrimination and low pay are two of the problems facing women's teams. Here are some of the problems facing the team. The USWNT is facing many problems, including discrimination against women and low pay in the NWSL.

The U.S. women's football team has won four golds medals

The U.S. women's soccer team has won four gold medals in a row, including four World Cups and one Olympic tournament. But the greatest victory was May 18, when the team won the Equal Pay Games. It swept France, Canada, Japan and Canada in the semifinals. They now look forward to next year's World Cup, where they will be competing for another gold medal.

Since 1996, the U.S. women's soccer team has made the podium in six games, including the 2008 and 2016 Olympics. Since that time, they have won four gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. In Atlanta, 1996, the USWNT defeated China 2-1 to win its first gold medal. In Sydney, Australia they won silver but lost in semifinals to Norway. In London, they had won three straight games.

It's the most successful player in international women’s soccer

For over half a century the United States women’s national team soccer team has dominated women’s soccer. The team won four World Cups, numerous Gold Cups and numerous Olympic medals. Title IX, which bans discrimination based upon gender in federally-funded education institutions, fueled its dominance. The 1999 World Cup win was the most significant moment in women's soccer in the United States, and it was the first time that a woman's national team won an Olympic gold medal.

The Women's World Cup is a major part of the international soccer industry. Teams from all parts of the globe participate in major events. In 1991, the tournament was held in Germany. The U.S. program led the way and is still the most lucrative in international women's soccer. The United States has made huge strides in women’s sports, but others have not.

It earns less money than the NWSL males

The US women’s soccer team earns less money than its male counterparts from the NWSL. The league employs 17 players with a USSF full-time contract. Players receive salary no matter what. This includes when they are hurt or need to take parental leave. Non-contract players only receive a small portion of the salary.

The gender pay gap in pay is not due unfairness. It is due both to the structure of soccer and the players' compensation. U.S. Soccer's salary and bonus programs paid out to women players from 2010-2018 was $34.1 million, while men received $26.4 million. The women's team also has its own collective bargaining agreements. As a consequence, the pay of the women's group is lower than the men's.

It is being discriminated against in World Cup payments

The US women’s soccer club faces allegations of gender discrimination and will sue California's U.S. District Court. The suit alleges that the USSF was complicit in gender discrimination being institutionalized and is promoting unequal pay for men as well as women. The USSF is fighting this lawsuit in the name equal pay. However, it has not yet commented publicly on the specifics of the case.

A federal judge has rejected Equal Pay Act claims filed by the US Women's Soccer Team. The USSF argues that the women's team's Equal Pay Act claims have been dismissed because of the disparity in pay. The team earned $24.5million over 111 games, while men made $18.5 million. The team claims that playing on artificial grass is gender discrimination. But the judge disagrees.
