Her Op-Ed

Allyson Felix has made it a career to be a role model for women. She has been a champion for women and their rights, both on and off the pitch. She testified before Congress. Her daughter

Allyson Felix's daughter, Camryn, was born seven weeks early on Nov. 28, 2018. Camryn, weighing in at just under three pounds and eight-ounces, spent about one month in the neonatal intensive treatment unit (NICU). She is doing well. Since then, her husband has been advocating for better maternal health and maternity protections in athlete contract contracts.

She struggles with maternity leaves

Olympic gymnast Allyson Felix recently discussed her struggle with maternity leave in an interview with FOS at the Title IX anniversary summit. Partnering with Athleta and nonprofit &Mother, the Olympic champion is spearheading an initiative to ensure that child care is available at the U.S. Championships.
