The United States women’s national team (USWNT), has a strong roster of young talent. These include Taryn Tores, Julie Moultrie Jaedynshaw, Megan Rapinoe and Megan Rapinoe. These players can help the USWNT advance to the quarterfinals. However, their experience and potential is lacking compared to the experience of their teammates.

Taryn Torres

Torres' recent selection to the U.S. Women's National Team represents a significant step in the right direction. The 18-year old forward is a versatile player who has an impressive shot and a great work ethic. She has played in four Challenge Cup games, and she has already participated in three league games. Gotham FC selected her as a 2021 draft selection, but she decided to finish her college career at Virginia. She was awarded four All-ACC Honors in college. She also participated in the U-20 team that competed in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Jene Baclawski will coach Torres, who is a former technical director at the South Texas Youth Soccer Association. Baclawski heads the Visa SheBelieves Cup MVP selection team.

Torres scored Torres's first goal for the U.S. Women's National Team in its match against Nicaragua last Wednesday. This was a crucial goal for the U.S. soccer team. She also scored the second goal in the U.S. Women's win over Nicaragua by scoring the first goal.

Julie Moultrie

Olivia Moultrie is now on the US Women's Youth National Team roster. Olivia will participate in the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. Moultrie, who was just 13 years old, became the youngest player in the NWSL to score a goal. She has played in eight games with Thorns FC during the 2022 seasons, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

U-20 WYNT players have proven to be valuable for the U.S. team, as they won the last edition of the tournament with a 44-1 goal differential. They didn't concede until they reached the championship game. Mia Fishel won Golden Ball for best player. Three other players with international experience made the team. Brianna Pito and Talia DelaPeruta scored at most three goals.

Jaedyn Shaw

Jaedyn Shaw is a key player in the USWNT-20 squad. While in France, she scored 2 goals in 3 matches. She is expected to make the U20 World Cup roster. She joined the San Diego Wave recently and will join Alex Morgan (and Abby Dahlkemper) as teammates. She will be working under the guidance of former USWNT coach Jill Ellis.

Jaedyn, a forward has been added to the U-20 Women's National Team team. Three youth club players are included on the team, including Shaw from the Washington Spirit of National Women's Soccer League. Olivia Moultritrie, a professional midfielder, is also part of the team.

Megan Rapinoe

Megan Rapinoe is out with injury from the United States Women’s National Team. She has 96 caps. The injury was sustained by the forward while she was training at U.S. Soccer National Training Center Carson in California. Rapinoe was able to return home after the injury and will continue her recovery. The USWNT is set to play France on February 8th and England February 13th.

Rapinoe has been the face of USWNT, and has been integral to their recent success. She grew up playing volleyball with her older brother and twin sister in Redding. She has provided big moments for the United States in major moments, including in the World Cup in 2013. In that year's 3-2 win over Nigeria, she scored her winning goal.
