He was previously an assistant coach for Seattle Storm. Another coach with WNBA experience is Katie Smith, who was the head coach of the New York Liberty in 2018-19 and is currently an assistant coach for the Minnesota Lynx. Before joining the Dallas Wings, Chatman coached the Indiana Fever in the NBA.

Deanna Nolan plays point guard for Dallas Wings. The 25-year-old is originally from Flint, Mich. She played for the Detroit Shock in the WNBA for nine seasons and won three WNBA championships. She was also named to five All-Star squads.
