Jessica Eye moved up eight spots to the number one contender at women's flyweight

Jessica Eye is in the middle of a huge career comeback. Her rank as the top flyweight contender is number one in the UFC rankings. This weekend she will take on Cynthia Calvillo who is number two in the flyweight division. Eye has seen a lot in life, from an abusive father to a devastating accident when she was a teenager. But, she has not lost sight of her passion for her craft. It's evident that Eye is prepared for her biggest challenge yet.

Eye's victory at UFC 238 made her number one in women's flyweight. Her victory over Joanne Calderwood was the key to her rise. She spoke to reporters backstage following the fight and explained her reasons for being the number one contender. She feels like she is a top contender at weight 125. In her four last fights, she has had four takedowns.

Nina Ansaroff rose two spots to be number two at women's featherweight

After losing her first two UFC fights in a controversial fashion, Nina Ansaroff is back on a four-fight winning streak. The American Top Team member is a top contender in the strawweight division and will look to make a big move with a bout against undefeated Tatiana Suarez. Ansaroff won four straight fights. She will now attempt to be the comain event in UFC events for the first time.

Holly Holm without a title is the most well-known female featherweight fighter. Although she was an excellent striker, she never found the right formula for success at 145 pounds. Yana Kunitskaya fell to Cris Cborg last year but won Invicta FC the bantamweight title. Raquel Pa'aluhi defeated her in 2017. She is currently the number 2 contender for women's featherweight.

Sergei Pavlovich moves up a couple of spots to number five

Sergei Pavlovich climbs up the UFC rankings, following a win against Magomed Ankalaev in UFC 277. The UFC takes a number of different factors into account when determining rankings, including wins and losses, quality of competition, and frequency of fights. The latest rankings are listed below.

Pavlovich, who lost her UFC debut to Alistair Overeem 4 years ago has now won four consecutive fights. She was unable to finish Derrick Lewis in the second round at UFC 277. This was her most memorable knockout.

Jessica Eye rises eight places to become the number one female flyweight contender

Jessica Eye, an ex-title contender, has been allowed to use her move down from title to flyweight and take on several top contenders. Last year she fell to Shevchenko in the co-main event of UFC 238 via a vicious head kick. Eye has moved up eight ranks in the rankings since then and has won three straight fights. She will be facing Cynthia Calvillo who struggled to gain weight at 115 lbs.

Eye has overcome many obstacles in her journey to this point. She has had a number of injuries and lost her father at a young age. A blood clot on her knee caused her to miss several fights. She has proven that she can beat the best flyweights around the globe after she overcome those setbacks.
