Is it bad for the US men’s soccer team? There are many reasons why the US men's soccer team is so bad, such as a lack talent, pay to play, and ineffective strategies. I'll address each one in turn. Improvements are needed for the US Men's soccer team
McKennie is the best middlefielder in the team
McKennie, a U.S. male soccer player, is one of the most outstanding midfielders. This 23-year-old is a household name in parts of Europe, and has a unique background. He was born and raised near Little Elm in Texas. His elbow has a Dallas Skyline tattoo. His father is an airline pilot and he spent most time in Texas as a child. At the age of 17, he moved to Germany with FC Schalke 04, where he became a football coach. He will transfer to Juventus in 2020.

Gregg Berhalter's methods haven't worked
It's easy to understand why some people have questioned whether Berhalter's tactics haven't been effective for the USMNT. His tactic of recruiting dual-nationals, such as Yunus Musah, hasn't been a success. The New York City native, the midfielder could also have played for Spain or Italy.
Talent shortage
The talent pool for the United States men's soccer team is seriously flawed. There are talks of "golden centuries" and teams who rise and fall in international soccer. That doesn't necessarily mean that the United States is without talent. We need to find more of this talent. This is not as easy though it may sound. It might not be as simple to hire a superstar but it is the first step.
Pay-to-play
Some claim that the USMNT's poor performance during major tournament qualifiers or tournaments is due to pay-to play. While this is probably true, the model also contributes to the poor performance of other soccer/football powerhouse nations. Iceland, for instance, has paid hundreds to coaches in order to get UEFA licenses. More qualified coaches mean better quality players.

Insufficient firepower
Although the USMNT has been rising steadily for more than 20 years, it now faces a serious problem: A lack of firepower. The team's recent defeat to Honduras is an unprecedented low. They are now winless in their last 14 matches. The team's performance this week has caused many to vent and call for a major overhaul. But what can the team actually do to improve things?
