In 2018, the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team surpassed a remarkable milestone, achieving its 500th triumph. This victory marked the end of an unbeaten season for the team. The team has been playing for 33 years and is one of the best in the world.

The late equalizer for the U.S. women's soccer team was one of the most memorable moments of the tournament. Abby Wambach was able to score a crucial goal with a header that was both precise and decisive, although it wasn’t the game-winning goal. This goal will live in the US's history of women's soccer.

Morgan's future success as a star athlete

Alex Morgan is a top young player in the US women’s football league. She has scored 15 goals in 16 NWSL games this season. This summer, she will take the U.S. Team to Mexico for the Concacaf tournament. The last time the US played at this tournament was in Cancun, Mexico in 2010. Morgan was able to help the Americans win the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup gold medal. Although they lost to Mexico in semifinals, Morgan played a significant role in their victory. Morgan was also instrumental in scoring the winning goal against Canada in the London Olympics 2012.

Rapinoe's lawsuit against U.S. soccer federation

Five members of USWNT filed a lawsuit in April 2016 against the U.S. soccer association seeking equal pay for their work. They claimed that they had been treated unfairly due to their gender. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission received the complaint. In May 2020, a federal judge sided with the federation, dismissing most of the players' unequal pay claims. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals heard the appeal and the women filed an opening brief.


Dunn's first Olympics

Dunn's inclusion in the U.S. women’s soccer team was highly anticipated and celebrated in Rockville Centre, Maryland earlier this month. It marked the end of her World Cup absence, and her start to a new chapter in her soccer career.

Rapinoe hosts the third Olympics

Megan Rapinoe, a forward for USA national team. In 2009, Megan Rapinoe was back with the team and participated in their first World Cup. Rapinoe was able to send the ball back to Abby Wambach just before the game was finished in 2011. She was part the Olympic team, and contributed to their gold medal win in London 2012.

Team USA's Tokyo performance

Team USA's performance in the Summer Games has been largely positive. The Tokyo Olympic Games gold medal went to the men's basketball and women's volleyball teams. Also, the first Olympic gold was won by the women's 4x400m relay team. Allyson Franklin's career total of 11 medals was increased to 11. The U.S. women’s indoor track and field team won the first gold in indoor volleyball.
